Skillset Competition Terms and Conditions of Power Play as part of the Low Income Energy Efficiency Program (LIEEP)  NSW Permit number LTPS/13/07242


  • You must be an apprentice or trainee in NSW as per the definition in the Apprentice and Trainee Act 2001 or a participant in a Green Army Project.
  • Employees and their immediate families of Skillset and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.
  • Eligible households must be within the Essential Energy service area of western NSW. The following postcodes are a guide; 2795, 2800, 2830, 2794, 2850, 2340, 2870.


  • Power Play commenced on Monday 6th January 2014 and will conclude at 5pm 30/06/2016.
  • By correctly completing the following forms, LIEEP Agreement and Eligibility, LIEEP Survey and Privacy Consent Notice you are eligible to compete in the competition.
  • By completing the sign up documents above, and confirmation that they have been completed correctly and that you are eligible, you will receive a $50 gift card.
  • Power Play will involve playing an online game that requires the participant to work their way through different levels, learn how to be efficient, earn rewards, compete with your friends and win prizes.   • The competition results will be displayed on our facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/PowerPlayAU).
  • Prize winners will be published on our website and social media platforms.
  • Winners must claim their prize within 5 days of notification.


  • Each winner will receive a prize or products which could be of varying or equal amounts.
  • Prizes or rewards will be products/items, vouchers or coupons. Vouchers or coupons are valid until the indicated expiry date. Vouchers or coupons are subject to the conditions stipulated by the provider of the voucher or coupon. If the total value of the voucher or coupon is not used before the expiry date then the remaining amount left will be lost.
  • Prizes can be picked up from any skillset office or arrangements made for Skillset staff to deliver.
  • Products must be ordered online through a Skillset portal with our product supplier. A user name and password will be issued.
  • The winners are responsible for making arrangements to claim their prizes from Skillset.
  • Each participant can only win a maximum of $300 in prizes and products. This excludes major prize draws but a major prize can only be won once by a participant.


  • By participating in Power Play each participant can win by completing the levels of the game, share your scores to win products and prizes.

  • The promoter’s decision is final and the promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the result.


  • In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions.
  • Skillset, affiliates and associated agencies and companies will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit, or late, lost or misdirected mail.
  • Skillset and affiliates will not be liable for any misadventure, accident, injury, loss or claim that may occur:

a) by playing Power Play;

b) whilst undertaking any activity in or connected with their entry into Power Play;

c) in the participation in any prize or product;

d) as a consequence of late, lost or misdirected mail;

e) due to the broadcast of any program relating to the competition or the publication of any material, including any statements made by any compere, staff member, journalist, other entrants or any other person;

f) in relation to failure of an entry to be received by the promoter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion;

g) arising from or related to any problem or technical malfunction of any computer equipment, software, internet connection, any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer software related to or resulting from participation in this promotion;

  • Skillset assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
  • If for any reason Power Play is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of Power Play, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend Power Play.
  • the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available to disqualify any individual who tampers with any part of Power Play as described above.
